Abdur-Rahim Syed


Abdur-Rahim specializes in strategy and operations, with a focus on technology, media, and private equity in emerging markets.

He has deep knowledge of the start-up ecosystems in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, and has helped launch leading venture capital funds, scale new businesses, and served governments on building technology ecosystems. 

Abdur-Rahim also has extensive experience with the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley, helping organizations with strategic, policy, and operational topics across the online, mobile, new product, and hardware and software spaces. Previously he worked on acquisition of Gen Y customers and Web 2.0 start-ups at eBay. He holds advanced degrees in public and business administration from Harvard and MIT
